Jun 10, 2009 at 7:16 AM So when we come to visit, I need to bring my sunnies, cozzi, and esky for the beach and my handycard to pay for my brekkie (and an Australian slang dictionary)!
Jul 4, 2009 at 6:14 PM Some aussie bike racers I knew years back used the expression "having, or being in a joke"; which meant working together as a team to get one guy to win, who'd share the purse won. Not as universal an expressin as brekkie perhaps, but it depends upon your social circle...

Me vs. 15 Brits, Scots, and Aussies.
In addition to your list they also thought I was crazy for the following ones; fleece=jumper, cart=trolley, vacation=holiday, cellphone=mobile, eraser=rubber, dinner=tea, sketchy=dodgy, trunk=boot, last name=surname, windshield=windscreen, hood=bonnet, receipt=docket, among others!
Oh and have you ever heard how they pronounce Aluminum?!
I am, however, completely used to 'how ya going?' and 'good on ya' :D
